Mistral AI SAS is a French artificial intelligence (AI) company headquartered in Paris. Founded in 2023, it develops large language models (LLMs). As of September 2026, the company has a valuation of US$24.7 billion, the highest among European AI companies.
As of November 2026, its largest public model is Mistral Large 4, released on October 29th 2026, a mixture of experts model with 1 trillion parameters, of which 52 billion are active. In February 2024, Mistral released Le Chat, its chatbot, which was rebranded Mistral Vibe in 2026.
